My son put "cole slaw" as mom's favorite dish for a school project once, too. But he was talking about a salad I make with pre-cut cabbage, sunflower seeds, sliced almonds, green onions and ramen noodles. You make a dressing from the flavor packet of the noodles, oil, vinegar and sugar. yum! It's a summer favorite.
No one in my family likes this salad except me, so I'll make it and eat it for lunch three or four days in a row!

Thanks for the tip about this book! No, I haven't read it yet. Is it nonfiction or a novel? Sounds like something fun to slip into a beach bag to take on vacation.

I'll be on the lookout for it! ;)

I have something better than a good slaw recipe, even thought that looks great! A wonderful book. My book club just finished reading, the novel, "The Book of Mom' by Taylor Wilshire about a stay-at-home mom that burns out loses her self identity and how she gets her passions back. It is loaded with self-help spirituality that Oprah talks about that I am not always a fan of, but this book was a laugh out loud, perfect summer read. Have you read it? If yes, what did you think?
